Building the Windows binary
The released ChessChallengeEngine.exe was built with Python 3.11.9 (64-bit),
python-chess 1.11.2 and PyInstaller 6.22.3:
python -m venv .venv .venv\Scripts\activate pip install -r requirements.txt pyinstaller==6.22.3 pyinstaller --clean --onefile --console --name ChessChallengeEngine uci_engine.py
The executable is written to dist\ChessChallengeEngine.exe. The binary also contains the
Python runtime (PSF License) and OpenSSL (Apache License 2.0); their licence texts are in the
third-party folder of the Windows download.
